A tax-supported system of parks and various recreational programs are offered to Maryville residents. There are ten public parks, a Community Center and an Aquatic Center. The parks contain playground equipment, shelter houses, sand volleyball, tennis courts, skate park, and athletic fields for baseball, softball, soccer and football.

The ADA-accessible Maryville Community Center includes a Gymnasium (3 courts), Meeting Rooms, an indoor Walking/Jogging Track, Coffee/Shake Shop, Child Watch Area, Men’s/Women’s Locker Rooms, and rooms for Aerobics/Dance, Yoga, Cardiovascular exercise, and weightlifting.

In addition to the park system, Maryville and Nodaway County are cooperating to develop a system of hiking/biking trails for recreation, exercise and transportation.
